My Practice
Practicing as an Emotion Code / Body Code / Belief Code practitioner is not something I would have ever envisioned being involved with at age 80! But here I am! Having experienced a surprising and helpful solution with a physical struggle several years ago via energy work, my curiosity was stirred. Dr. Bradley Nelson’s book, The Emotion Code, was recommended to me and once I read it, I immediately signed up for the certification course; same with The Body Code. When the Belief Code was launched in 2023, I completed that certification as well.
I have facilitated many, many sessions. In the ones for myself, I have been shocked at the “trapped emotions” that I found (and released) … emotional baggage taken on through issues and tough times that I thought I had processed years ago. If I had possessed this new knowledge as I traversed through my life, how transforming and healing that would have been; but never too late!
When I consider the educational and societal culture I have lived within over these many years, any discussions regarding the physical body were typically about just that — the physical aspects. In reality, the cells of the body are made of molecules and atoms that store energy. Our physical bodies as well as our thoughts and emotions are all energetically connected. We are made up of energy!
Recently I studied and earned certification with the Compassion Key modality. Edward Mannix, the creator of the Compassion Key (CK), stated “Self-compassion is the most powerful healing force on the planet.” As a CK practitioner, I guide a person through a process of extending compassion to younger versions of Self to validate and begin the healing of wounds that have been carried sometimes for years.
Our life force energy becomes strained as we traverse through difficult life passages and it can open us to heightened ongoing stress and illnesses. I love being a part of helping persons in releasing negative emotional baggage and assisting them in their healing efforts to re-establish a healthy and balanced energy flow. The ultimate goal is to release unhelpful baggage so that a person’s innate healing system can be most efficient.

About Me
My childhood years were spent in a country setting in Ontario complete with a one-room schoolhouse education (how did the teacher ever manage eight grades in one room?!) My 20’s and 30’s found me living and working in the USA, and I was very happy to eventually return to Canada, this time on the West coast. Most of my career years were spent within non-profit community services settings. Mid-life I successfully completed an MBA at Royal Roads University on Vancouver Island (Human Resources specialty).
Retirement years have meant increased time for my life partner and me to provide occasional support to our family and grandchildren within their busy lives. We are grateful for the uniqueness and specialness of each of them.
I also feel gratitude for having gained this body of knowledge around healing. Having a part in seeing persons get to a more balanced place is deeply satisfying. Over the years I’ve gained a greater appreciation for how self-love and self-compassion must take a central place in our lives (more accurately ‘we-love’ given the energetic connectedness!) Life can throw such tough stuff at us; and at the same time, it can be so beautiful, lived and appreciated moment by moment.
